For development of TCM is necessary to share information, science results and knowledge. Sharing - it is the first condition for cooperation. TCM experts, doctors and scientists from all over the world are able to help people even more together.

We communicate with top TCM doctors from all countries and ask them for interview. The topic is only one - TCM in their country and the world. The answers are important and for development of TCM in Europe very important. TCM doctors, the best of them we would like to invite to Czech Republic, too. Professor Mien-Chie Hung, Chinese Medical University Taiwan:

Actually, do you share historical information and methods of ancient TCM in contemporary medical healthcare?

Yes, we have College of Chinese Medicine in our university and there are professors specialized in TCM basic research and clinical trial. They are all devoted in sharing information and methods with the world, including contemporary medical healthcare.

Could we find in Taiwan some specific methods, knowledge, herbs, unique and original, nearly endemic?

Yes, Taiwan indeed has its own endemic herbs as well as TCM treatments.

Are you in contact with TCM doctors and centers for instance in United States, Australia, Europe?

We have built different kinds of cooperation with TCM doctors, organizations and universities from all over the world, including United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Korea…etc.

Are there some TCM students from abroad at your Medical University?

We have overseas students coming to our College to learn TCM both short-term and long-term from over 19 countries including Chile, Mexico, Mongolia, Israel, Vietnam, etc.

The whole world watched your fight with pandemic covid-19. Do you mean, TCM could help against it?

Yes, there is significant progress from our research team in combating covid-19 using TCM treatments. A Taiwan-developed Chinese medicine formula, known as NRICM 101, is now used alongside Western medicine to treat COVID-19 patients around the world. In addition, we currently also have active research program ongoing to identify new Chinese medicine formula to combat covid-19 through inhibition of ACE/Spike interaction and activities of key SARS-CoV-2 enzymes.

We could suppose, post covid time is coming. Do you have some experiences, knowledge, new methods how to help patients?

According to Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment (辨證論治) in TCM, it shows that it could provide treatments to help COVID-19 patients.

What could you offer to the world from Taiwan, as product for prevention of covid-1í or probable new waves, and consequent care?

TCM emphasizes on preventive medicine and practicing acupuncture, Qigong or Tai Chi can help boost the immune system, further preventing the possible new waves.

Western medicine uses to say, it is based on evidence and science. What about difference, your point of view? Do you mean, these medicines are not one for human?

The practice of the Evidence-Based Medicine is already a common shared value in modern medical practice, including TCM. Only the integration of Western medicine and traditional medicine under the foundation of EBM can benefit human beings the most.

Would you like to present your experts and results, methods of treating Chinese Medicine, in Czech Republic?

If we do share the same values, we would love our TCM experts to visit Czech Republic.
