Delegates from 85 countries and regions attend World Congress on Traditional Medicine

A total of 611 delegates from 85 countries and regions attended the World Congress on Traditional Medicine, which began in Beijing in the first days of December 2024.

The Congress was supported by major partners, led by the Beijing Municipal Government, the National Health Commission and the State Administration of TCM, including the WHO.

In addition to foreign participants, nearly three thousand local participants were also present. More than two hundred invited speakers shared new experiences. The conference included an exhibition on traditional medicine in the world, presentations on TCM activities and the Beijing City Health Study. The events demonstrated TCM development and innovative applications.

The conference also set up a Chinese medicine experience area that focuses on Western medicine testing, health management, cultural popularization and interactive experiences, such as Beijing Chinese Medicine Health Culture Experience Center, which can provide TCM experience and health guidance services for each visitor.

Keynote speakers included Professor Dr. Jiao Fuyong, honorary president of the Shaanxi Medical Promotion Association. He is president of EUROCENTER TCM Prague and Xi'an, too.
