The 2nd World Conference on Artificial Awareness (AC2024) was successfully held online from December 21 to 22, 2024 with the theme of "Artificial Awareness + Active Medicine".

The conference was jointly sponsored by the World Artificial Consciousness Association (WAC) and the World Artificial Consciousness Committee, attracting academicians, professors and experts in various fields from all over the world to discuss the deep integration of artificial consciousness technology and active medicine, and became an important event in the field of global artificial consciousness.

Global Participation: Exceeded 30,000 viewers, demonstrating the impact of the conference

This year's conference not only brought together more than 30 internationally renowned academicians and academic leaders, but also carried out global simultaneous live broadcast through the joint live broadcast platforms (Tencent Meeting and ZOOM) of "Health Triumph" and DIKWP. During the conference, the number of live viewers exceeded 30,000+, the highest number of online users reached 1800+, the number of likes exceeded 190,000, and the number of comments reached 360+, further demonstrating the wide influence and social attention of the conference.

Deep Integration of Artificial Consciousness and Active Medicine: Leading the Future of the Modern Medical Revolution

The conference focused on the core theme of "Artificial Consciousness + Active Medicine", and deeply discussed the revolutionary application of artificial consciousness technology in the field of modern medicine, especially the huge potential of personalized medicine, active prevention and intelligent diagnosis and treatment. Participating experts and scholars had extensive discussions on the integration of artificial intelligence and medical practice, showcasing the latest research results and technological innovations.

In particular, this conference focused on the DIKWP (Data, Information, Knowledge, Intelligence, Intent) cognitive framework, and explored its application in artificial consciousness and medical scenarios, providing a new perspective for in-depth understanding of the interaction between artificial intelligence and human cognition.

The "Lao Tzu-Spinoza (DIKWP)" award is presented in recognition of outstanding contributions

At this year's conference, the World Association of Artificial Consciousness awarded the "Lao Tzu-Spinoza (DIKWP)" award to five scientists who have made outstanding contributions in the field of artificial consciousness, active medicine and AI innovation, which symbolizes the integration of Chinese and Western philosophical ideas and the cultural convergence of the era of innovation.

Speeches by renowned overseas experts: From ethical challenges to far-reaching applications of AI in healthcare

Robert Lawrence Kuhn, winner of the China Reform Friendship Medal, discussed the rapid development of artificial intelligence, particularly the medical and ethical implications of large language models, in his online message. He mentioned that Anthropic's Claude model testing has raised concerns about the unpredictability of AI behavior. While AI has shown potential in medical fields such as early cancer detection, there are risks such as hallucinations and active deception. He emphasized that the achievements of AI should not simply be equated with imitating human consciousness, but should focus on simulating intelligence. Ultimately, he called for caution about AI and stressed the need for human oversight.

In his speech, Jan Hovorka, President of the European Centre for Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Czech Republic, emphasized the importance of TCM and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in global medical exchanges, especially in the Czech Republic in promoting the popularization of TCM. AI will play an important role in elevating the application of traditional Chinese medicine, especially in areas such as personalized treatment, virtual assistants, predictive diagnosis, telemedicine, etc. He pointed out that AI can recommend personalized treatment plans based on patients' genes and lifestyle habits, automate daily medical tasks, optimize hospital resources, and improve patient comfort. In addition, AI helps with pain prediction, psychological support, remote monitoring, and more to improve the overall patient experience and quality of life. Hovorka concluded that the innovation of AI in the field of medicine has contributed to the development of global healthcare, and will promote more cooperation and exchanges in the future to improve the quality of medical services.

Alhaji Adam Abbakari emphasized the importance of integrating AI and artificial consciousness into the healthcare system, especially in the context of integrative medicine. The holistic approach of TCM can complement the symptomatic treatment of Western medicine and provide a more holistic approach to health management. He pointed out that AI has achieved remarkable results in health education and epidemic control in China, especially in contact tracing and health education. He believes that AI can help build a more efficient and comprehensive healthcare system, reduce the pressure on the healthcare system, and improve the quality of healthcare globally by reducing the burden of diagnosis, shortening the treatment cycle, and enhancing health prevention and risk assessment. Despite concerns about AI, public acceptance and fear of AI can be reduced through a prevention-oriented healthcare system.

Academicians from all over the world gave speeches, focusing on the integration of traditional medicine and modern AI

Academician Wang Chunhui said in his speech that the study of artificial consciousness has become the focus of global attention, involving core elements such as self-awareness, emotion, and moral judgment. With the deepening of research, the issues of ethics and legal responsibility have gradually become prominent. He emphasized that the future of artificial intelligence will not only rely on algorithms and code, but also need to understand the nature of consciousness and implant morality and ethics in machines. The development of artificial consciousness is not only a scientific and technological challenge, but also a matter of the future destiny of mankind.

In his speech, Academician Jiao Fuyong said that active medicine emphasizes prevention, early intervention, and individual differences, which is of great significance to medical practice. The integration of AI technology has promoted the integration of medical care and health care, giving new impetus to health management, especially in disease early warning, accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment, and improving medical efficacy. He also mentioned that although AI technology has shown great potential in medicine, there are also risks, such as misinformation and deception, emphasizing the need for professional doctors to monitor AI results. In addition, he explored the nature of consciousness and AI awareness, and thought deeply about the future development of AI and its impact on human life.

In his speech, Academician Zheng Weimin emphasized that the multimodal ability of the artificial intelligence model provides technical support for active medicine. The application of AI can help acquire, process, and analyze medical data, driving the shift from reactive treatment to active intervention. Through the training and fine-tuning of large models, AI can provide accurate support for early diagnosis, personalized treatment, and health prediction. Combined with artificial awareness technology, AI can also simulate emotional and moral judgments, improve the humanization of medical decision-making, and make proactive medicine more efficient and personalized.

In his speech, Academician Li Yueen said that the 2nd World Conference on Artificial Awareness focused on the future of AI in the medical field, emphasizing the integration of active medical AI and traditional medicine to address the challenges in the health field. In the face of an aging population and chronic diseases, medical care needs to realize the deep integration of AI and artificial consciousness, and promote the transformation from passive treatment to active care. The practice of active medicine will create a patient-centered smart medical ecosystem and provide personalized and precise services.

Academician Xie Zhendong said in his speech that this year's World Conference on Artificial Consciousness focuses on integration and innovation, explores the future of artificial consciousness, and provides a communication platform for academicians and experts around the world. He emphasized that the convergence of interdisciplinary knowledge is the key to driving the development of artificial consciousness, involving fields such as psychology, neuroscience, computer science, and AI, bringing technological advancements and new perspectives. Innovation is the driving force for technological breakthroughs in artificial consciousness, and the conference provides an opportunity to showcase research results and exchange innovative ideas, highlighting the importance of innovation to the development of disciplines.

Acceleration of global academic exchanges and scientific research collaborations: Promote the in-depth application of artificial consciousness in the field of medicine
